Not too much is known about the upcoming replacement for the current Honda CR-V other than a possible release date of this October. So Mr. Benjamin Hong was a bit shocked to see an early production vehicle driving around the streets of Vancouver B.C. without any coverings.

Being a responsible individual, these nice photos were taken using his cell phone camera. Two key changes are an updated chassis and no spare tire hanging off the back of the tailgate. The removal of the tire brings the CR-V styling along side that of the Ford Escape and the upcoming Jeep Compass. We also know about an update to the CR-V's little stable mate the Honda Element.
