Trying to stay on top of the sport compact sedan class, Subaru has debuted its next generation Subaru WRX sedan and Wagon at the New York Auto Show. The car has already received some bad press due to a cover shot on Motor Trend Magazine before the show. It will be interesting to see the public's reaction to the new design.
We don't have many details on the new WRX, other than the pictures, which show a larger hood intake which could mean more horsepower. Of course the car will feature all wheel drive, Subaru's trademark feature. The interior pictures show an automatic transmission, as well as an in dash navigation system. A new front grill and headlights give the WRX a sleek look.
The new look will surely draw some criticism with its rounder appearance. However, if Subaru wanted to get people talking, they will certainly achieve their goal with the new WRX, and sometimes, thats more than enough to sell lots of cars. Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more great New York Auto Show debuts.
