Ford Airstream Concept

For this concept, Ford Motor Company teamed up with the makers of Airstream trailers to create a futuristic throwback to the days of 55MPH road trips and 8 track tape players. The body is sleek and painted with a reflective silver to pay homage to that iconic trailer. The front of the concept blends the current "face" of Ford into a single chrome grille and no visible headlights. The only door on the vehicle opens from the passenger side in a clam shell motion to allow for easy access to the inside. The concept is powered by a Hydrogen Hybrid combination. It's considered a hybrid because instead of having the fuel cell power any of the driven wheels, it's purpose is to keep the Lithium-Ion battery packs charged. This idea keeps the fuel cell is smaller, lighter and running at a steady state. The Airstream wraps classic design around modern components to make a truly unique concept indeed.
