It appears as though the Escape will be getting a facelift, as it has recently been spotted trotting along on public roads without its front camouflage in place. If the change sticks and makes its way into production, it will be the first cosmetic update to the Escape.

The new front seems to have been inspired by trucks, the new Ford Edge, and hints at styling from the Land Rover Freelander. Rumor has it the new Escape will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show in mid-April 2006.
