In the world of 400hp grocery getters, the performance truck market has exploded. Ever since Ford discontinued the SVT Lightning, Ford fans have been longing for a high performance full sized pickup truck, capable of pulling the family boat to the lake, or running a 13 second quarter mile. Roush Performance has answered the call with its 2007 Stage 3 F150 pickup truck.
The Stage 3 features the Roush F150 appearance package with a body kit and stripe package. The suspension has also been modified, giving the Stage 3 a lower stance and better handling. Roush wheels are fitted to complete the look. However, to really appreciate the Stage 3 package, you must pop the hood. Lifting the bonnet reveals the ROUSHcharged 5.4 liter V8 that produces 445 hp and 500 ft-lb of torque. The engine produces enough power to take the full sized pickup into the high 13 second range in the quarter mile. While the Stage 3 won't beat the Lightning, it will run very close on its heals, and has a rear seat.
Inside, the Stage 3 features custom embroidered leather seats. A special set of gauges keep tabs on the details of the engine. If you are interested in getting your hands on a Stage 3 F150, visit your local Roush dealer. Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more great sports trucks. |
