With a list of accomplishments the size of a small book, it is no surprise that a driver would have a special edition sports car named after him. Ron Fellows has played a key role in getting the Chevrolet Corvette to the point that it the world of sports cars. With the release of the fastest Corvette in the history of Chevrolet, the heads of the company felt it was time to honor Ron with a limited edition Corvette Z06. With only 399 cars planned, it is definitely a limited-edition car to get your hands on.
The first thing that should clue people that there is something special about this car is the Arctic White paint. No C6 Z06 has ever been offered with white paint, and this car looks magnificent with it. People that remember the special edition Grand Sport Corvettes will like the fender stripes in dark red. The Z06 features matching red interior highlights, as well as matching red vinyl enhancements around the car.
The engine remains stock, which is understandable given that the car already has over 500 horsepower and 500 ft-lb of torque. It will go well enough from the factory. There are a few more exterior enhancements, such as a full length racing spoiler and chrome wheels. It's amazing how a few small, subtle changes can make such a huge difference in this car.
With less than 400 cars available to the public, more precisely, 300 to the US and the remaining to the rest of the world, if you are interested in the special edition, you should definitely get to your local dealer as soon as possible. With an MSRP of only $77,500, these will certainly go fast.
Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more great special edition cars like the Ron Fellows Z06.
