Audi won't be releasing a 2007 TT later this year, however, it has been confirmed that an all-new coupe and roadster are to make their way to the United States for the 2008 model year. Engines featured will be the 2.0T turbo 4-cylinder and the 3.2 narrow-angle V6 and transmission choices are the six-speed manual and S tronic transmissions. Some technological changes in the new TT are an aluminum and steel space frame and a "magnetorheological" suspension system that automatically tunes itself for specific situational demands. More focus this year (2007 models) is on power and sportiness. Unfortunately, TT lovers are going to have to wait a little longer than the rest of the Audi crowd. Read more over at Inside Line. |

In the pack of almost two-dozen new models coming soon from Audi, will be the new A7 Coupe. Set to compete directly with a class leader, the Mercedes CLS, this 4-door coupe is perfectly sized and is aptly named the A7; its stature is larger than the A6 and lesser than the A8. Look forward to seeing more of the new A7 this fall, at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Stay tuned! Click here to visit Audis site |

Continuing to add spice to the lineup, Audi is now poised to offer a two-seat, mid-engine sports car, dubbed the R8. This Bavarian offering is believed by some to be on the road sans camouflage because of press deadlines for publications about a certain infamous French event in June, the Le Mans. Initially, the R8 was briefed as a Le Mans concept car at the 2003 Frankfurt Auto Show. Estimates to launch the R8 are for the Paris Auto show in September 2006, with first deliveries to North America sometime in 2007. Pricing is expecting to have the R8 slightly above the $100K mark, in base form. |

Audi fans got a special treat when the new S6 was unveiled: more grunt beneath the hood. Initial reporting had claimed the S6 would be rated at 420hp, while the actual figure reported by Auto Motor & Sport is near 435hp. This increase is quite the pleasant surprise and one difficult to be unhappy with. Click to visit Audi on the web |

Not only has Audi been beefing up the power output of its lineup, it has also massaged style into several models. The A3 is no exception to the application. The A3 has received the S-line glitz, with an aggressive front fascia, 18 split alloy rims, and subtle badges to indicate a different trim. A panoramic view from the familiar Audi interior is provided by a sky-view glass pane, giving passengers the impression of interior space. |
