The 2005 Audi RS 4 is one of my favorite new cars. All wheel drive and a 420hp V8. This coupled with a nice flat torque curve should prove to be an exciting car to thrash around your favorite twisty country road or better yet your local road course. |

For this concept, Ford Motor Company teamed up with the makers of Airstream trailers to create a futuristic throwback to the days of 55MPH road trips and 8 track tape players. The body is sleek and painted with a reflective silver to pay homage to that iconic trailer. The front of the concept blends the current "face" of Ford into a single chrome grille and no visible headlights. The only door on the vehicle opens from the passenger side in a clam shell motion to allow for easy access to the inside. The concept is powered by a Hydrogen Hybrid combination. It's considered a hybrid because instead of having the fuel cell power any of the driven wheels, it's purpose is to keep the Lithium-Ion battery packs charged. This idea keeps the fuel cell is smaller, lighter and running at a steady state. The Airstream wraps classic design around modern components to make a truly unique concept indeed. |

V8 power with V6 fuel efficiency: the seemingly unachievable goal that Ford Motor Company set out to achieve this past year. Well, it's finally here. Ford recently announced at the Detroit Auto Show that the Twin-Force engine featured in the Lincoln MKR concept car will be going into production. The twin turbocharged, direct-injected V6 engine makes 415 horsepower, all while getting V6 fuel economy and having the ability to run on E85 gasoline. |

From historic Model A's to today's hottest throwbacks, the Special Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, Nevada, has always brought something new to thirsty aftermarket enthusiasts. As time passes, more and more themes about individualization and customization make their way into the limelight, with even automakers taking the plunge to team up with custom designers and builder. Ford has shifted much of their recent focus in their production ventures into more partner-based projects with names such as Carroll Shelby (of course), Chip Foose, Jack Roush, and many other famous names in the automotive and racing realms. Take a closer look (video below) at FoMoCo's latest dabbling in the aftermarket. So far, we've seen great results of the synergy between automaker and auto-tailor - will it continue, or will people seek conformity over customization in the end? |

The recent rumor mill wildfire about Ford potentially making a 4-door Mustang was perhaps mistakenly construed as Ford taking the Mustang's inner workings and applying them to a new concept car to make yet another Bold Move in the right direction. Enter the Ford Interceptor concept, stage right, at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. More images (click each for hi res) are in store below, along with the official Press Release, straight from Ford. |

In a premature release of information, the Lincoln MKR concept sports sedan, which was set to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show, has been captured in a new video. The breath-taking concept is based on the Mustang platform and features stunning looks coupled with amazing twin turbocharged power. Last year at SEMA, attendees stumbled upon a bright orange Ford GT supercar with the top chopped off. While some people consider the Lamborghini style doors one of the most striking features of the GT, they could really make a hassle of a daily commute. Also, some people long for the feeling of the wind in their hair, a sensation that one cannot experience with the base model Ford GT. Genaddi, the creator of the GTX1, aimed to solve both problems, and now they are planning on producing 500 models, and an additional 100 models that exactly mimic the special SEMA edition. |
