In the world of 400hp grocery getters, the performance truck market has exploded. Ever since Ford discontinued the SVT Lightning, Ford fans have been longing for a high performance full sized pickup truck, capable of pulling the family boat to the lake, or running a 13 second quarter mile. Roush Performance has answered the call with its 2007 Stage 3 F150 pickup truck. |

Abt Sportsline, the largest tuner for the Volkswagen of automobiles, has recently announced
Abt R8, a new tweaked coupe to face off against the Maranello F430, Porsche's 911 Turbo,
and it's blood rival, the Lamborghini Gallardo. A carbon fiber hood covers up one of the sexiest V8s around--a 4.2 liter Abt supercharged powerplant. Power output after the forced induction treatment tops out a 530hp! The famous Audi all-wheel drive system pounds the 20-inch wheels into submission and forces them to move the car from 0 to 60 in less than 3.9 seconds and onward to a top speed of almost 200mph. A state of the art adjustable racing suspension will also be added to the R8, so the pilot may adjust height, pressure, and flex for the road ahead. This masterpiece is set to launch this fall and that seems like an eternity away from present, after seeing just how beautiful this car is. |

Ford showed off its latest offering to the concept world recently at the New York Auto Show. Its body shape seems to be a cross between the Expedition and an LTD station wagon from the 80s. Styling doesn't seem to play as much of a role as functionality in today's car buying world, so Ford shouldn't have a hard time selling the Flex if they decide to produce it due to all the great features it provides. |

It is fun to look back and see the progression of automotive trends aimed at young car buyers over the last 50 years. In the 60's, it was huge boats with even bigger engines. Today, in the age of Hollywood movies, rock music, and three-dollar-a-gallon gas, the audience craves a completely different car. The Chevy Beat Concept appears to be aimed specifically at the young crowd, with its small exterior, great gas mileage, and large interior. |

Edmunds.com recently got their hands on the all new 2008 Infinity G37 Coupe that is set to debut on August 21 of this year. The G37 Coupe, the successor to the G35 Coupe, is Infinity's response to the BMW 335i that seems to be selling like hotcakes. The 3-series BMW has been a top seller for a number of years, and Infinity has set their sites on knocking them off the pedestal. |
