2007 Farnbacher Loles Porsche Cayman GTR

What would you do if you could own one of the most spectacular [German] sports cars on the market?  OK, what would you do if you could own one that has been a heart transplant recipient from a bigger brother?  You'd smile from ear to ear, guaranteed.  Farnbacher Loles Motorsports (FLM) out of Danbury, CT, has rammed a 911 engine inside a 2007 Porsche Cayman....now dubbed the Cayman GTR, which adorns the GT3 front end.

FLM has taken the 3.4 liter ~300 hp flat six cylinder out of the Cayman and dutifully exchanged it for the 911 Carrera S 3.8 liter, inclusive of the "X-51" factory power upgrade.  Just 20 of these fantastic massage creations will be released for purchase.  It's a telling story of just how fine the craftsmanship behind the machine really is.

The addition of custom headers, a cold air intake, and specially tuned fuel & exhaust management systems cap off the Porsche Cayman GTR and allow it to put down some very respectable numbers:  390 hp on premium fuel and 410 hp when sipping on a 100-octane racing blend.  Torque twisting force was brought from 251 lb-ft up to a mark up 338.

An upgraded suspension also keeps the Porsche on the precious pavement.  A Cross 15-way adjustable suspension, limited-slip differential, front and rear anti-roll bars, and an upgraded Sachs clutch pressure plate round out more of the performance goodies.

Check out the rest of the story, straight from FLM here, in an official product brochure about the Porsche Cayman GTR.
