As if the stock Audi RS4 wasn't enough of an amazing car, as it proved by being named the car of the year for 2007, MTM has introduced its 535 hp version, the RS4 Clubsport for 2008. This car takes the word insane to an entirely new level. Audiworld took it for a test drive recently and now we get to see what it will do.
The 4.2 liter V8 engine has been topped with a liquid-to-air intercooled, positive displacement screw-type supercharger. Say that five times fast. Nevermind that--concentrate on the 535 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque available at low rpm and a zero to sixty time of less than four seconds. Need to hear that again? Yes, a 4 door luxury sedan will do a zero to sixty jaunt in less than four seconds, all while hauling the kids home from school, and stopping (rapidly, we might add, with the new brake package) for bread and milk on the way home.
The RS4 was also put on a diet, losing 350 pounds for the summer, and received a new sport tuned suspension to handle the added power. This could very well be the perfect daily driven car. Room for five, handling to rival an F1 car, and enough power to ruin that Porsche owner's day. Audiworld is also excited to mention that the RS4 uses the same engine as the R8 supercar that Audi recently released, so the blower should bolt right on to the R8. Overkill?
Never. Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more awesome Audi's.
