The BMW M5 is quite the performance machine with just its factory tune. The shrill exhaust note is enough to wake the dead, and the acceleration will give you a natural dose of Botox. Now take that, add a few performance goodies, and turn the wick up just a bit. What you are left with is the new Evosport M5.
Evosport makes aftermarket tuner performance parts for BMW's. When they were given a new M5 to play with, only great things could occur. Utilizing new headers and sport tuned exhaust system, along with a new set of underdrive pulleys, the M5 makes an astounding 560 horsepower. The stock exhaust note, which already resembles an agitated F1 car, is made even more fierce. A new limited slip differential with a lower 3.91 rear gear add low end gusto and more traction.
Outside, Evosport works even more magic with the use of lightweight carbon fiber body panels. A new domed hood, front splitters, and carbon fiber rear diffuser. Huge 20 inch 2 piece wheels bring the car in contact with the pavement, and equally large Rotora brakes feature 12 piston front calipers and 16 inch rotors. The M5 is lowered on H&R springs, which also provide better handling and reduce weight. Supposedly, 45 lbs were removed in unsprung weight alone.
The M5 is quite the automotive package, the Evosport M5, however, is on an entirely different level. Great looks, great handling, and insane speed and sound make for the perfect daily driver that can Jekyll and Hyde itself into an amazing track car.
