Lamborghini's new and show-stopping Miura concept resurrects the glory of a legendary name, designed by Walter de' Silva, head of Lamborghini Design. The principle behind the concept was to remain simple and straightforward: invoke a retrograde appearance quite similar to one of the most famous automobiles in the world, the Miura.

In a way, the honor of this concept marks the 40th anniversary and the reputation of the original designer, Marcello Gandini. Gandini's Miura design was first unveiled by Ferruccio Lamborghini and Nuccio Bertone in 1966 at the Geneva Auto Show.

Even now, the Miura is considered one of the most beautiful automobiles ever fashioned.

The new Miura concept is what it is - no firm production plans are set up yet. De' Silva's design has completely reshaped the car, yet remained loyal to the majestic original.
