2007 Audi RS4

Undoubtedly one of the coolest, most brutal, and yet, most elegant sports sedans ever created, the Audi RS4 has been named the world performance car of the year for 2007.  The RS4 beat out 17 other cars to take the top prize, including the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and the BMW 335i.

The Audi RS4 features a naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V8 engine that is capable of launching the full sized sedan to sixty miles per hour in a mere 4.8 seconds.  What is even more amazing, is the fact that the V8 has a compression ratio of 12.5:1.  No wonder this car makes such brutal power with such small displacement!  The all wheel drive glues the 19 inch wheels to the pavement, and 317 ft-lbs of torque get the ball rolling.  A six speed manual gearbox puts the power to the pavement.  With its race-like suspension, the RS4 attacks corners with the prowess of a lion.

It is not hard to realize why this car was chosen as the Performance car of the year.  It features amazing acceleration, spectacular handling, and the comfort expected from a luxury sedan.  It is the perfect package, and with all wheel drive, can be driven 365 days a year if needed.

Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more great sports sedans.
