Certainly not one to be left behind in the sports car arena, Ferrari has finally prepared its newest stallion for the road. Continuing the Challenge series in its cars, the legend of these cars includes the 355 Challenge, as well as the delicious 360 Challenge as well, Ferrari has introduced its Challenge Stradale version of the new Ferrari F430 coupe. Adding carbon fiber body panels and more horsepower, Ferrari has once again improved on what many would consider an already perfected automobile.

Synonymous with the Challenge line of cars, the first thing one will notices is the rear carbon fiber grill above the taillights. Ferrari has also lightened this car with full carbon fiber door panels and magnesium racing wheels. While the weight loss of 220 lbs is impressive, Ferrari had to leave glass windows in the car to meet safety regulations, something that wasn't mandatory on the 360 models. Ferrari makes up for this however, supposedly boosting the 490 hp stock engine to about 520. Bigger brakes help slow the car down in a hurry, and a higher positioned, freer flowing exhaust provides what automobile enthusiasts consider to be one of the sexiest soundtracks a car can produce. Porsche owners had better keep their eyes in their mirrors. Stay tuned to RPM for more information on the newest Italian Stallion.
