BMW has been making a splash in the sports sedan market lately with its 335i. The turbocharged coupe offers great performance and BMW luxury for a reasonable price. However, for some, the stock power rating just isn't enough. Here at RPM Planets, we understand that, as a matter of fact, we cant get enough power. Alpina, a reputable BMW tuner, comes to the rescue with its B3 Bi-Turbo edition 335i.
The B3 Bi-Turbo bumps the 335i's horsepower rating up from 300 hp to 360 hp and brings the torque number up to 369 ft-lb. This power increase provides a strong midrange power band that is great for daily driving. In today's age, four door sedans making sports car power aren't hard to find, and the B3 provides a nice alternative to the Mercedes sedans and even the new Infinity G37.
The suspension has been tuned with select pieces from the Alpina catalog, which helps to plant the newfound power to the pavement. Large 19 inch wheels provide a sporty look, and increase handling as well.
The new B3 Bi-Turbo from Alpina looks to be a promising new entry into the sports sedan world. It makes great power and has great handling characteristics. Alpina brings another great option to the table. Stay tuned to Planet Euro and RPM Planets for more great sports sedans.
