Reports are starting to surface through the Internet indicating that DaimlerChrysler will offer a Mercedes-Benz S-class hybrid starting in 2008. Speculation is that the hybrid system will only assist the motor (partial hybrid.) Some think this move intended to counter the Lexus LS600-h offering, introduced to the public earlier this year. The S-class hybrid will be introduced to Japan and the United States, as diesel is still popular in Europe.
