Appearing at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November will be Aston Martin's latest offering in the luxury sports car department. Featuring sleek lines, great power, and arguably some of the finest interiors offered in a vehicle, the V8 Vantage makes a great automobile for the person looking for power AND refinement on the highest level.

Constructed using lightweight alloys, the Aston features a strong chassis, while maintaining a light weight. Zero to sixty miles per hour comes in less than five seconds, which is impressive considering the additional weight added due to the convertible option. The V8 engine puts out 380 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque. The car is low to the ground, and has a sport tuned suspension that keeps the turns exciting, but the comfort level high. With a top speed of 175 mph, the car will have no problem keeping up on the Autobahn. Two different transmissions will be available for the Vantage, a six speed manual, or the paddle shifted Sportshift transmission.

The convertible top is perfect even on a rainy day. You can cruise along with the top down, and in the event a rain storm comes through, you can have the top up in 18 seconds, all while continuing on your journey, granted you don't exceed 30 mph. The top maintains a sleek look, up or down, and when in the down position, the double humped tonneau cover maintains the roadster feel.

The Vantage Convertible is expected mid-2007, and buyers should expect to pay around $110,000 to get their hands on one. Stay tuned to Planet Euro and RPM Planets for more information on this and other great European sports cars.
