Call it whatever you want. Just dont call it slow. Along with its sibling, the sedan Audi RS6,
this heavyweight duo is anticipated to be a 2009 model. Visually, this R model sets itself apart from
the S6 Avant with a more aggressive stance and reworked front and rear
bumpers. The front now incorporates
larger intakes, including new ducting for brake cooling. The rear features a new exhaust and rear
diffuser.
But the real news is what is under the hood. The regular S6 already receives a quite
healthy injection of horsepower from a 5.2 liter V10 originally sourced from
the Lamborghini Gallardo and good for 420 horsepower. Rumors circulating about the RS6 and RS6
Avant are predicting a generous application of boost via turbo to the potent
V10 for a final output of between 550 and 600 horsepower. |
