By now, most Internet diggers have heard about and seen the 180 European cars from the 1980s. It's said that the owner of the warehouse (where the cars were found) shut down the facility and welded the doors shut some time in the early 1990s. Recently, he invited a classic car broker to come along with him to open up the doors.
Given the fact that several of these cars were parked with the windows down and the tops retracted leads us to believe that the decision to stash these gems was made in haste. But why? Tax implications? Evading a family inheritance claim? A lawsuit? Crop circles? Maybe we'll find the story soon; maybe we'll never know.
There are tons of images floating around the Internet, but we've sampled a few on here. Take a look at these dusty Jaguars, Porsches, Lancias, Alfa Romeos, Lotuses, Austin Minis, Renaults, some open-fender formula cars, and a myriad of others. 15 years under wraps, and it's hard telling what future these cars will hold for one or several lucky owners.
