Lamborghini Revention

It is almost funny to sit back and watch the different automotive cliques.  In Detroit, automakers are constantly fighting over who makes the most power, who goes the fastest, and who sells for the best value.  However, take a trip across the ocean, slip on a custom tailored suit, and climb into you brand new 1 million euro hyper exotic.  Power is insignificant; you're driving one of one hundred brand new Lamborghini Reventions.

Yes, that number is correct.  You've just spent more on one car than most people make in a lifetime of working.  But that doesn't matter.  The exclusivity, the glamour, and the fact that you and ninety nine other people will have the thrill of taking the Italian car maker's newest stallion up to over 200 mph if the mood strikes.

The Revention is a brand new ultra limited edition model that debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show this past week.  Featuring the exact same engine that powers the recently released LP640 Murciélago, the Revention makes an awesome 640 horsepower.  With zero to sixty times in a mere 3.4 seconds, you will think you were just launched off an aircraft carrier's catapult system.  But wait; that's the entire point of Revention.  Climbing in the cockpit will give you a view of Revention's amazing gauge cluster that resembles nothing other than a jet fighter's instrument panel.  This thing even has a G-meter, and we don't mean G like 50 Cent.  This technology has been used by F1 teams and airplanes for years, but Revention is the first use in a street car.

The exterior features an olive drab like color, taking the military-esque theme even farther.  The body panels and wheels are made of a carbon fiber type material, giving the Revention a super light curb weight.  The huge front intakes resemble the intakes of a jet fighter, and the stance is just menacing.  The interior is a theme matching green suede material.

So this begs the question.  Is it worth a million euros to own the Revention, that features the same engine and performance as the LP640, that you can only get in one color, military green?  Apparently so, as all 100 have already been sold for the asking price of a million euros.  This car undoubtedly will only gain value after the first is delivered, much like the Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari Enzo, which both bring over a million euros each time they exchange hands.  The Revention is an amazing piece of automotive engineering, we just wish we had the kind of money it takes to spend a cool million on one automobile.  Stay tuned to Planet Euro and RPM Planets for more great hyper exotics coming out of Frankfurt.
