Lotus Exige S

New to American shores, car maker Lotus is wasting no time giving Americans what we have been begging of them for years. The Lotus Exige S, another model in the low weight, high thrills category from Lotus, is now boasting 220 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque. Mounting the supercharger to the 1.8 liter Toyota sourced 4 cylinder engine provides a zero to sixty sprint of 4.1 seconds. Due to its lightweight construction, this nimble corner-carver will still achieve praiseworthy fuel economy, getting 25 mpg. Lotus initially had no plans to bring the S stateside, but the project has been rushed to have the car ready to debut this fall. Perhaps we will see it at the Los Angeles auto show. Expect to pay about a $6,000 fee to feel boost under the bonnet of your Exige. Stay tuned for more information, as we expect to see more discussion about this inbound corner-carver.
