The Nürburgring was the setting for Porsche's testing of its newest 911 variant. The car features some minor changes that really make an impression. The changes were aimed at improving the performance, durability, as well as the looks and safety of the car.
Porsche must have realized the benefit of the larger cooling ducts on the latest 911 Turbo model, as the newest 911 base model cars will now receive the same front fascia. This helps cool the brakes during hard driving, reducing fade and increasing performance. The retro look headlights that were added last year remain on the newly stretched out nose of the car. At the rear of the car, onlookers will notice that the taillights are more recessed, and tailgaters will fully appreciate the new Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights that replace the old bulb style lights.

Only Porsche can make such subtle changes, yet make such a bold statement with a car. The 911 is just a gorgeous car, and Porsche has only improved on the model. Stay tuned to RPM Planets and Planet Euro for more information on this and other amazing corner carving thoroughbreds. |
