So you have everything. 1001 horsepower, four turbos, the fastest production car ever created, what else can you possibly need? How about a removable targa top for those nice Sunday morning drives? Well, Bugatti intends to meet the need with the upcoming Veyron model year.
Bugatti is set to make a limited run of 80 cars featuring a removable targa top that fits somewhere inside the car. That should be quite a feat seeing as most of the usable room on the Bugatti Veyron is already occupied by something functional. The removable top will not endanger your one million dollar automobile's interior should it decide to rain on your scenic Sunday drive. Bugatti will probably incorporate some kind of vinyl top for emergencies like this. The cars equipped with the removable top will obviously not have the same top speed capability as the coupe version, most likely limited to a speed around 217 mph.
With a production of only 80 cars, these are sure to sell quickly, at at a substantial mark up if you do happen to find one. They are actually probably a good investment if you can get your hands on one, resell value should be quite impressive. Stay tuned to Planet Euro and RPM Planets for more information on the Bugatti Veyron targa as it becomes available.
