Aston Martin has created a different flavored Vantage; a convertible to prospectively take on the Porsche 911. The British firm has yet to confirm production of the car, but there is strong sentiment it will happen.

The Vantage was snapped in these photos during an early evening cruise. Rumors abound about the release of the car, but if it were to happen, it is expected to be in 2007.

Powering the car's aluminum/composite body down the road is the same engine found in the coupe: a 4.3 liter DOHC V8 (Jaguar derived), producing 380hp.
