Tesla Roadster

With the oil industry in extreme turmoil and the seemingly never ending price hikes at the gas pump, everyone is thinking about cheaper ways to transport themselves. One company, Tesla, displayed an electric powered sports car based on the Lotus Elise. Early stats indicated a 0-60 time of 4.0seconds and a usable driving range of 250miles before needing a recharge. I don't know about you, but the range of the Tesla is equal to my Jeep Liberty (in the city). Recently Tesla signed an agreement with Lotus to produce the Tesla Roadster out of the Hethel factory in the United Kingdom. Sales are projected to start early next summer here in the U.S. and carry an entry fee between 85,000 and 120,000 dollars.
