Spring must be coming soon ... Roadsters abound as of late, and Yes! is offering one to join the ranks and grab all the attention along the way. The hand-built German wondercar was recently launched at the 2006 Leipzig Auto Show after being introduced in 2003 at the Frankfurt show.

Tipping the scales at less than 2200 lbs, the Yes! Roadster is well equipped to carve corners as well as smiling faces, with Audi's 3.2 liter V6 underneath the hood. Yes! sweetens the pot a bit more, with the option of adding a turbo to the six cylinder, allowing it to generate over 350hp and around 360 lb-ft of torque.

In test circumstances, the Yes! Roadster was clocked at 3.69 seconds in a sprint from 0 to 60 mph. Is it not fast enough? OK, there is another option for the turbo trim to be modified to produce another 30 hp! All of the available powerplant options are mated to the rear axle by a six-speed transmission, making gear grabbing the main objective in any situation.

So here it is; Germany's reply to the Lotus lineup. The small Roadster may not appeal to all, but it certainly proves powerful things can come in small packages ... kind of like nitroglycerin.
