It has been an exciting few weeks for Chrysler as of late. After rumors of a sell off, Daimler-Chrysler was bought by the Cerberus Capital Management LLC. To celebrate, Chrysler's new top executives announced that the Chrysler Imperial Concept would be making it to production.
The super-luxury sedan will give buyers another option in the domestic luxury category, and hopefully spark other US manufacturers to jump the game to compete with all the Japanese luxury offerings. The imperial features a lush interior, suicide-style opening rear doors, which reminds us of the Rolls Royce Phantom.
The Imperial is set to be built beginning in 2009 in Canada in the same plant that is set to build the new Dodge Challenger. We look forward to seeing this different looking luxury car hit the streets. Stay tuned to RPM Planets for more information.
