Jeep has introduced its latest offering, targeted to new Jeep buyers. Open the lift gate and enjoy the 458 watt 9 speaker Boston Acoustic audio system with two articulating rear speakers that fold down from the lift gate. The sliding armrest accommodates your portable MP3 player or cell phone. Your MP3 player plugs into the easily accessible audio inputs on the face of the head unit. For those without an MP3 player, you can opt for the MP3 compatible 6 disc CD changer.
The 2007 Jeep Compass is packed with many options only found in luxury vehicles. The second generation continuously variable transmission (CVT) provides a smoother, quieter, and more fuel efficient vehicle. The CVT automatically adjusts the infinite gear ratio to keep the engine in its peak power band. Driver confidence is increased with the standard electronic stability program combined with traction control, electronic roll mitigation, and an anti-lock braking system with brake assist that all help the driver control oversteer and understeer.
Powered by a 170 horsepower 2.4L 4 cylinder engine, the Compass can be equipped with either front wheel drive, or the optional active full time 4 wheel drive system to suit your personal needs. Variable valve timing, which varies the intake and exhaust valve timing, provides maximum power of a V6 with the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder.
