We all know that pushing the limit can only go so far. Sooner or later, there comes a time to grow. The Chrysler 300 has lengthened a bit since it was last in the limelight and will aim to please those seeking more of a good thing. To be shown at the New York Auto Show, the Chrysler 300 Extended Wheelbase model is a stretched version of the base 300, adding six inches in length, creating just over ten extra cubic feet of interior room. The extended sedan will still be offered with the 3.5 liter V6 (rated at 250hp) and the 5.7 liter V8 (rated at 340hp).
The expansion of the wheelbase adds to the overall interior space creating 46 inches of legroom, and is set to catch the interest of the liver/limousine & retail markets. "The 300 Long Wheelbase will have six inches more of the elegant, distinct design that made the Chrysler 300 the most-awarded new car in automotive history," said David Rooney, Director Chrysler Marketing Communications. "In addition, limousine- like features have been added and custom options are available. The result is a truly distinctive and personalized experience for commercial and retail customers, all for what will be an affordable price."

A front-running custom specialty vehicle manufacturer will tailor the Chrysler 300 Long Wheelbase version. Based in Lima, Ohio, Accubilt has over 128 years in the industry and has worked with a widespread dealership network in the past. Their distribution of the extended 300 will be channeled through Chrysler dealerships, with pricing set and public offer to be sometime this fall.
