Buyers looking for Mopar value in the SUV market, need to look at the Dodge Caliber fill such a void. A 2nd quarter release in the United States will allow buyers to get a taste of this promising crossover SUV firsthand. If its value, fun, and effective features one has in mind, then the Caliber is just worth an inspecting view.
Ahh, where to start on this new production
. The Calibers power is generated by selection of three 4 cylinder engines (1.8, 2.0, and 2.4 liter) generating 148hp, 158hp, and 172hp respectively. In the mission to replace the Neon, Dodge is taking a bold stance to capture market interest. Accompanying each of the engines is a state of the art dual variable valve timing system (WT) and a second-gen continuously variable transmission.

The idea behind the interior is to keep up with modern amenities and consumer interests. Options include a wide range of feature from an on-board cooler for beverages to a completely retooled audio system, MusicGate, which is by Boston Acoustics. The MusicGate will certainly appease the MP3 generation with 9 speakers and a powered subwoofer to crank out the tunes. A vinyl floored cargo area and 110-volt outlet ensure utility and sport are not removed from the labeling of the vehicle as an SUV.

Exterior definitions hint at inheritance from the Dodge truck lineup, the success of the PT Cruiser, and the wide stance of the 300 platforms sedans. All the best is now rolled into one, economical and appealing package. Dodges aim to replace the Neon coupe/sedan may just do so quite well with the choice of the Caliber. With more interest in AWD and multi-passenger comfort, the Caliber seems to be right on target. Take an even closer look at the Caliber |
