New Mustang Blue Men’s Cologne Arrives in June

New men’s fragrance Mustang Blue comes from Aramis and Designer Fragrances, the same company which brought us the first Mustang cologne. The new Mustang Blue men’s cologne is the definition of a confident, sexy and powerful Mustang man.
Mustang Blue fragrance for men will launch in June 2008 to retailers nationwide including Sears, JCPenney and Kohl’s and rollout to mass merchandisers and chain drug stores in July of 2008. Prices for the cologne will start relatively inexpensive with a 1.0 oz. cologne spray retailing for $20 and go up to a 3.4 oz. spray retailing for $32.
“The Mustang fragrance had a tremendous reception from Mustang fans as well as others who appreciate the iconic American brand,” says Robin Mason, Vice President of Global Marketing. “The first Mustang fragrance appealed to his bold, daring and legendary side as he drove through the west. Mustang Blue further defines the Mustang man by exploring his adventuresome side via a drive along the California coastline. Mustang Blue will appeal to men who aspire to the freedom of the outdoors, the power of the engine and the confidence to show off their sexier side. Anything is possible in a Mustang,” adds Mason.
“We are pleased to partner again with Aramis and Designer Fragrances because they are global leaders in this arena. Together we launched the first Mustang fragrance which became a natural lifestyle extension of this iconic American brand. We tapped into a new demand for fragrance that appealed to the Mustang Man and the Mustang fan base, “ states John Nens, Director, Global Brand Licensing, Ford Motor Company. “We are very excited to launch Mustang Blue because it continues to celebrate the Mustang Man on a new journey,”
Mustang Blue, The New Men’s Fragrance
“Fresh, aquatic ingredients infused with sage, basil and sandalwood combine to make a clean, clear and compelling fragrance,” says Trudi Loren, Vice President, Corporate Fragrance Development Worldwide for The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. “Mustang Blue confidently accentuates who the Mustang man is; a man who knows how to enjoy the adventure of life.”
The fragrance is infused with mint and basil to boost the tantalizing top. At the heart is an aromatic exhale of geranium, sage and artemisia. A cool and crisp intensity radiates from a high-spirited essence of pine and cedarleaf, while the perfect freshness that features spicy, wet cardamom, clove leaf and cypress transports the senses through an intriguing voyage.
The sensual masculine back infuses rugged sandalwood with an intoxicating earthy blend of hay and patchouli to create a super sexy, masculine scent.
The Mustang Blue fragrance line includes: 1.0oz/30ml Cologne Spray (SRP: $20); 1.7oz/50ml Cologne Spray (SRP: $25); 3.4oz/100ml Cologne Spray (SRP: $32). Ebay: 2008 Mustang GT California Special Dead at 8 Miles

Another mind boggling Ebay find, a wrecked 2008 Mustang GT California Special coupe with window sticker intact and only 8.5 miles on the clock. The car does have a salvage title and the description only mentions the Mustang was hit on the passenger side, no other details of the wreck. Sounds to me like somebody took this baby out for a test drive and did not make it very far before somebody slammed him. The buy it now price is set at $13,500, seems a little much for all the repairs that are needed but what do I know. More photos and link to the auction after the jump.
Check out the auction here and decide if the price is worth it.

2010 Ford Mustang to appear smaller
How do you make a muscle car appear more fuel-efficient? According to Ford's North American design director, Peter Horbury, you make it look smaller. In an interview with Automotive News, Horbury said that the Mustang, "... is more suitable for the times than the [Dodge] Challenger and [Chevy] Camaro." By "times" we're assuming Horbury is implying that big muscle cars will become less popular due to rising fuel prices and that vehicles like the Challenger and Camaro will endure much of the same wrath that SUVs have garnered in the last few years.
While the Camaro concept is 1.4-inches shorter and 5.7-inches wider than the Mustang, the Challenger overshadows Ford's pony car in length by over ten inches. Whether those facts will have any effect on the buying public is open to debate, but appearances are just that, and a focus on weight reduction and more fuel-efficient drivetrains would seem to be a better solution than making the 2010 Mustang, which will share the same dimensions as the current model, appear to be the smarter choice.

Two Rehagen Racing Ford Mustangs in Top 10 Opener

The latest results for the Roush sponsored Rehagen Racing team show some promising results, with the No. 59 and No. 60 finishing in the top 10 at Daytona Beach. For some time, it seemed as though the Ford Mustangs would take spots 1 and 2, but some faulty communications during a late pit stop caused both cars some crucial time losses. These losses would prove to be detrimental to the two Roush racers, but would still leave them finishing with decent points standing.
