Edmunds.com recently got their hands on the all new 2008 Infinity G37 Coupe that is set to debut on August 21 of this year. The G37 Coupe, the successor to the G35 Coupe, is Infinity's response to the BMW 335i that seems to be selling like hotcakes. The 3-series BMW has been a top seller for a number of years, and Infinity has set their sites on knocking them off the pedestal. |

The automotive sport of drifting has become quite a hit since coming
from the streets of Japan. Drifting, the art of balancing a car on the
ragged edge of disaster and control, has been seen everywhere from Hollywood
to comic books, and Americans are eating it up. At any given drift
event, there is one car that you are sure to find. The 1980s Toyota
Corolla GTS, or AE86, due to its light weight and rear wheel drive, makes a perfect car for drifting. The Corolla is to drifters what the Fox Body Mustang is
to drag racers. Cheap, fast, and indestructible. With the drifting scene taking off like it is, Toyota is looking to capitalize on this by bringing back the AE86 in the near future. |

Back in 1997, Toyota set the pace for the green race with the release of the Prius. Just over 10 years later, over 650,000 units have been sold throughout the world over. That said, Toyota is looking to press on to the next level and gives us some strong hints at what its next technological birth might be. Recently, in Geneva, auto show attendees were able to get first glimpses of the next-generation Prius: the Hybrid X Concept. Check out more of the Concept (images open to hi res after clicking) and the official Press Release from Toyota inside. |

Lexus made a splash on the stage this year at Detroit with its new IS-F sports sedan. The bright blue paint catches your eye, the rumble of the 5.0 liter V8 grabs your eardrums, and the smells of exhaust gases fill your nose. As soon as you see it, you know something is different about this one. The huge wheels, the massive brakes, and the slammed appearance are all clues that this car was made for one reason: going fast. |

Conceptual Rendering
Toyota has announced the coming unveiling of its new FT-HS Supra-style hybrid super coupe. The unveiling is due to take place at this year's Tokyo Motor Show. Initial reports indicate that the car will be capable of 400 horsepower and 4 second climbs to the 60mph marker through the use of an electric supercharger (not a misprint). Much of the car's design components are said to come from the new (and pending) Lexus GT500. The petrol-electric car will feature a 2+2-seat layout, where the rear seats will be used to store the retractable hard top roof. It is expected to make a showing at the Detroit Auto Show later this year. |
