A new version of the Esprit, a mid-engine ride by British car crafter Lotus, is set solid for a 2007 launch. The images presented here show one of the test cars at the Nürburgring. The new Lotus Esprit will have a widened appearance via a fender stretch and will also have a larger rear wing than the current model. Most importantly, the powerplant is the reason to look twice--the next Esprit gets a DOHC 4.8 liter V8, made by BMW, that has an output of 367hp. |

Oh, to ride inside the car that blisters eyeballs when gazed upon.... Bugatti's Veyron keeps on pushing the limits of performance - as if its very production was not testament enough. Great Britain's Autocar magazine recently tested a wide roster of performance cars as part of its annual 0-100-0 showdown. What won? You guessed it - the Veyron. Weighing in at 4100 pounds, the monster Bugatti recorded a 0 to 60 mph of 2.8 seconds, a 0 to 100 mph of 5.5 seconds, and managed to screech to a halt at 9.9 seconds! These statistics, at first glance, seem impossible for such a heavy car to achieve, but somehow, it is. What's even more incredible is that sportbikes are allowed in the same competition class as supercars. Who took 2nd place? Suzuki and their GSXR-1000. That's right, folks, a car outran and stopped faster than a 2-wheeler. Keep reading to see more pictures of the Veyron in action. |

Freshly released, the new images of the new Land Rover Freelander II hint strongly at family ties. Many of its cues and lines are derived from the Range Rover and the LR3 (headlamps, grille, fascia) and it's grown a bit--it's now 5cm longer. The all-time four wheel drive utility is powered by the standard 3.2 liter V6 engine or a 2.2 liter turbo diesel powerplant. Transmission choices are either a 6-speed manual as well as an automatic gearbox. Keep reading for some more shots of the Freelander! |

Audi won't be releasing a 2007 TT later this year, however, it has been confirmed that an all-new coupe and roadster are to make their way to the United States for the 2008 model year. Engines featured will be the 2.0T turbo 4-cylinder and the 3.2 narrow-angle V6 and transmission choices are the six-speed manual and S tronic transmissions. Some technological changes in the new TT are an aluminum and steel space frame and a "magnetorheological" suspension system that automatically tunes itself for specific situational demands. More focus this year (2007 models) is on power and sportiness. Unfortunately, TT lovers are going to have to wait a little longer than the rest of the Audi crowd. Read more over at Inside Line. |

Bugatti's success in the release of the Veyron has led them to another item to focus upon: the exclusive sedan crowd. The Veyron has great looks, power, and prestige; but not everyone wants a coupe. With a steep price tag as a starting point already, the Veyron leaves Volkswagen (parent firm) holding fewer coins at the delivery of each Veyron. So, what is the answer to this enigma? Branch out. Bugatti's motive is to capture not only the million-dollar man, but the million-dollar family man by offering up an esteemed sedan, rumored to have 950 horsepower. Not a bad grocery getter--wait those who can afford a Bugatti don't buy their own groceries. Click here to read more on the potential Bugatti super sedan. |

The Rt12 is built on the 997 chassis, has an Alcantara suede-covered roll cage, and offers two engine choices for Porsche fanatics. Both are turbocharged and offer well over 500 horsepower. |
