While the prior SRT4 nameplate is being dropped from production, Dodge has other plans for the magical Chrysler 300 figure; it’s the horsepower rating for the new Dodge Caliber SRT4. The engine, a joint effort from the World Engine family, is a turbocharged (with intercooler) 2.4 liter 4-cylinder. Matched up with a 6-speed manual transmission, the Caliber SRT4 will produce 260 pound-feet of torque for application to the pavement via a limited-slip front differential. The entire setup is reported by Dodge to move the Caliber from 0 to 60 mph in under six seconds. calib_front.jpg The exterior gets some mild touches with the SRT flavoring as well. An aggressive front fascia and grille are designed to maximize airflow to help cool the front brakes. A functional hood scoop is also in place to assist in feeding the 2.4-liter. Interior updates are as follows: sport bucket seats with side bolsters, aluminum pedals, a 200 mph speedometer, and a boost gauge. See more of the Caliber SRT4
